Recently I've looked into somethings different which is the dancing movement in order to get some inspiration for my design thinking. I've found an interested articles by searching through the dancing movement 'Physical Movement Translated into Drawings. This had caught my attention to have more in-depth research into this topic.
Heather Hansen, she is the one who I've looked into on her dancing artworks. She is a contemporary performance artist and a dancer in New Orleans. She has come up with a very creative way on by combining the movement of her dancing and painting. ''As she dances and prostates herself on the piece of paper, she marks it with charcoal, gradually building a beautiful diagram of her seemingly ritual dance.'' (Mcofer., 2014). One of her work, Emptying Gestures is an experiment in kinetic drawing.''In this series, she is searching for ways to record all of her movement directly onto paper, emptying gestures from the natural movements of her body which was the movements of joints, the extension of her back, stretching and contracting in order to define her lines and creating something new in the process.''(Mcofer., 2014)

''She always felt that art performance is very much like a meditation. Thoughts come and go, memories, impressions, but she tries to focus on breathing when her mind strays. She trying to shut down the analytical side of her brain. Ideally her thoughts are about the process, the sound of the charcoal on paper, and keeping a sense of the spatial patterns thru physical memory. We would paint our bodies white for performances, and the idea behind that was to “erase” the ego. Choreography tended to be more like following a meditative poem of images than which body part did exactly what, when or where.'' (OchiGallery., 2014)
It is really beautiful to see a great dancer creating giant drawings together with the physical movements. By looking at what she did, I found that'there is no difference between dance and art where both express an individual passion, thought and feeling archieved through a creative process. What I thought when she dance or paint she have the same intention. It’s not the medium or the modality as much as it is the approach and the process involved in creating a finished piece.''
