Recently, I'm interested into the combinophy which is a series of photographs made by Romanian designer Cristiana Costin. What caught my interest is the creativity that she had in merges analog shots of real life scenes with creative illustrations to bring a whole new story to ordinary images.
''A photography tells a certain story, but, like a little God, I want to change that story, to mix it, to develop a new one and to make the viewer think and notice what was there before and after.'' by Cristiana Costin (Adraque H., 2015)

By referring to her artworks, what she had inspired me is her intention which is to''communicate the essence of a message with minimal interventions and techniques.''(Adraque H., 2015) Besides, her creativity by created illustrations on the photograph in order to give a whole new story to the photograph, revealing her imaginative constructs of common daily observations. She had also inspired me, as a designer we should always see things in different ways and perspectives, always think out of the box for example, a building is not just a building but it could be something else by looking at Cristiana's works. When viewing nature from different perspective, we could approach something sideways to discover an entirely new view.
''The hardest part is finding the idea, the missing element. The way I made them is pretty simple, I add a new layer with some vector strokes over the photography. I try not to edit the images at all because I want to preserve that vintage, realistic feel. Also, it is difficult to stop sometimes but I always remember that less is more.'' by Cristiana Costin (Adraque H., 2015)
